Introduction

Yudoyu® respects the privacy of every individual and has taken every precaution to create a process that allows individuals to maintain the highest level of privacy. All information provided by the individual taking the assessment is kept on a secure server.

By signing up for our testing service, you are allowing us to process your personal information according to the provisions outlined in this Privacy Statement.

Personal Information

Yudoyu’s lab partner SkinDNA™, collects types of personal and non-personal information described as follows:

Account Information—We collect Account information when you purchase our test. This information may include your name, credit card details, billing and shipping addresses, and contact information such as an email address or contact number.

Genetic information

Genetic Information consists of “A”s, “G”s, “T”s, and “C”s at particular locations in your genome. When you purchase a Yudoyu® Genetic Test, you mail your saliva sample for analysis. Once testing is complete and the laboratory completes its work, including processing, analysis, and data reporting, your DNA and saliva samples are destroyed.

Information Sharing

One of our lab’s goals is to contribute to scientific research and advancements in genetic knowledge. To achieve these goals, SkinDNA may partner with commercial and/or non-profit organizations conducting scientific research.

Such partnerships may (for example) allow an organization to access our database of Genetic Information to search for the occurrence of a particular genetic variation and a particular skin health condition or trait. Individuals’ identities are not included in the database; instead, the information is assigned a sample code number.

Your Choices

If you request, we will remove all personal information associated with your account information from our systems. However, the genetic information you have provided for research before your deletion request will not be removed from ongoing research. Please email info@skindna.com.au to make this request.

Security

To prevent any unauthorized access or disclosure, to retain data accuracy, and to ensure the use of the information, SkinDNA uses a range of technical, physical, and administrative measures to protect the information we collect about our members, described as follows:

Technical:

We monitor our employees’ usage of our databases and maintain all records of access to personal information.

• Our networks are protected with firewalls.
• We encrypt the storage of certain personal information, including account and genetic information.
• We conduct internal and external audits of our security processes.

Physical:

• Physical access to our servers is restricted to authorized persons only
• We restrict data access to only allow approved personnel to view content

Administrative:

• We prohibit personal information from being extracted from our systems
• We limit access to personal information to certain employees for limited, approved purposes based on their specific responsibilities.

 

While there is always some risk of a security compromise, we tightly control access to personal information.

Protecting your private information is our priority. This Statement of Privacy applies to yudoyu.com, and YUDOYU, Inc. and governs data collection and usage. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to YUDOYU, Inc. include yudoyu.com and YUDOYU. The YUDOYU website is an e-commerce site. By using the YUDOYU website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Collection of your Personal Information

In order to better provide you with products and services offered, YUDOYU may collect personally identifiable information, such as your:

  • First and Last Name
  • Mailing Address
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number

If you purchase YUDOYU’s products and services, we collect billing and credit card information. This information is used to complete the purchase transaction. YUDOYU may also collect anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your:

  • Age

We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain personal information to us when you elect to use certain products or services. YUDOYU collects and uses your personal information to operate and deliver the services you have requested.

YUDOYU may also use your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from YUDOYU and its affiliates.

YUDOYU does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties.

YUDOYU may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. YUDOYU may keep track of the websites and pages our users visit within YUDOYU, in order to determine what YUDOYU services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising within YUDOYU to customers whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.

Automatically Collected Information

Information about your computer hardware and software may be automatically collected by YUDOYU. This information can include your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, and referring website addresses. This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain the quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding the use of the YUDOYU website.

Right to Deletion  

Subject to certain exceptions set out below, on receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will:

  • Delete your personal information from our records; and
  • Direct any service providers to delete your personal information from their records.

Please note that we may not be able to comply with requests to delete your personal information if t is necessary to:

All personal information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL or other encryption technology or will use our third-party payment processors, who will use appropriate security procedures.

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. You should not share your password with anyone. We urge you to be careful about giving out information in public areas of the Site like message boards. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Children Under Thirteen

YUDOYU does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this website.

From time to time, YUDOYU may contact you via email for the purpose of providing announcements, promotional offers, alerts, confirmations, surveys, and/or other general communication.

YUDOYU reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time.
